An internal movement up toward the crown is a 'yang' movement. An internal movement down toward the perineum is a 'yin' movement. The Ba Gua trigrams are read from the bottom up, so Heaven is "up, up, up," Earth is "down, down, down," Wind is "down, up, up," Thunder is "up, down, down," etc.
